How to Knit the Seersucker Stitch

The Seersucker Stitch is a nice and simple 8 row repeat that produces a fabric with beautiful slightly raised diamond shapes, making it perfect for projects that need a little bit of texture to them.

This is a great stitch pattern for an adventurous beginner to tackle, it lays nice and flat and has no increases or decreases to deal with - making it perfect for those who have mastered the basic knit and purl stitches but don't feel ready to tackle any more complicated techniques.

The written instructions are below and for those of you who prefer to learn visually, I have linked my YouTube tutorial at the bottom of this post.
